Meet the Coaches
Our experienced and certified coaches are dedicated to helping every child grow through volleyball — with guidance, encouragement and a passion for the game.
Our Coaching Philosophy
At Bounce & Grow Volleyball Academy in Surrey, we believe volleyball is more than a sport—it’s a way to help children grow in confidence, teamwork, and life skills. Our philosophy combines early exposure to volleyball with fun, structured and value-driven training.
Founded by former international player and Volleyball England certified coach Beth Gil, our kids’ volleyball programs focus on safe, age-appropriate learning. We help children ages 5 to 12 develop essential skills, coordination and a lifelong passion for the game while progressing step by step in a supportive environment.
We tailor each session for children aged 5 to 12, combining volleyball fundamentals—passing, serving, ball control—with key developmental skills like coordination, balance and spatial awareness. Our programs also build communication, teamwork and decision-making in a respectful, supportive environment.
At Bounce & Grow, success means more than wins; it’s the confidence kids gain, the friendships they build and the lifelong passion for volleyball they discover while growing as athletes and individuals.

Meet the Coach Behind Bounce & Grow Volleyball Academy
Beth Gil
Founder · Director · Coach
A lifelong passion for volleyball, a lifetime of experience for your child.
Beth Gil is the heart and vision behind Bounce & Grow Volleyball Academy. Born in Lima, Peru, Beth began playing volleyball at the age of three. Her natural coordination and love for the sport led her to compete in junior tournaments by age nine and join one of the top five teams in Peru by thirteen. She was later selected for the national pre-selection squad, where she was coached by some of the country’s most respected professionals.
Her career took her across Latin America and Europe — from Venezuela to Spain — where she continued to compete and win national league titles while completing her university studies. In 2004, she moved to the UK, where she built her life, her family and her legacy in volleyball. Today, Beth is a certified coach by Volleyball England and remains an active player and head coach in the national and local leagues, leading both men’s and women’s teams to championship success.
What sets Beth apart is not only her technical experience, but her dedication to youth development. She founded Bounce & Grow Volleyball Academy with the belief that the earlier a child is introduced to volleyball, the greater their chance to grow — not just as an athlete, but as a person. Her sessions are built on encouragement, patience and structure, creating a positive, inclusive environment where every child is seen, heard and empowered.
